To obtain the financial grant that accompanies a research account, users must document that they are systematically studying a topic employing the Rorschach with the intention of contributing to knowledge by publicly disseminating the findings when the research is complete. Students in training are eligible for this type of account, as are professionals with academic affiliations.
Researchers submitting an application are required to specify how many participants they anticipate including in the study. Based on this number, R-PAS provides the researcher with a grant for free scoring of that many protocols. The value of the basic research grant is determined from the cost of protocols in the standard clinical account, which is USD $9.95 per protocol. Thus, an application for 100 protocols in the basic research account equates to a grant request of USD $995.00 and no charge to the researcher.
